Wednesday, December 10 | 7:00pm

On Wednesday, December 10th, we will gather as a community to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. A communal celebration is stressed today because it gives emphasis to the communal effects of sin and forgiveness. Through our Baptism we are part of the Body of Christ, so what we do affects one another. One person’s sin weakens the community while another’s person’s repentance strengthens it. Thus, it is a powerful experience to witness each other confessing sins and witness the laying of hands in absolution. Confessing in the midst of our brothers and sisters helps us support each other and realize we are not alone in our sinfulness.

So let us come together to celebrate the good news of Jesus’ mercy and assist each other on our journey of conversion. There is no sin beyond God’s forgiveness. God is always calling us back to him.

Please note: In addition to Father Jose, several priests have been scheduled to hear confessions this night.
