Purpose/Mission Statement
“Instrumental music can assist the assembly in preparing for worship, in meditating on the mysteries, and joyfully processing in its passage from liturgy to life.” (Liturgical Music Today #58)
Time/Talent Needs
Instrumentalist join the choir, as needed, to enhance the hymns, acclamations or instrumental works during weekend Masses or special liturgies.
Qualifications
One must be proficient on a musical instrument. Have the ability to read music and learn new music on your own. Have a desire and ability to support and enhance choral music in the parish.
Level of Commitment
To prepare in advance for and attend scheduled choir rehearsals which usually meet Thursday evenings at 7:30pm. To attend the 10:30am Mass and/or special events which are scheduled at the discretion of the Director of Music.
