Saint Phoebe Sisterhood Women’s Group

Mission Statement: St Phoebe Sisterhood exists at Resurrection parish to create a network of service and support, to facilitate the recognition of women’s gifts, needs and interests while building relationships across the generations.

All women of the parish are a part this group and there are no annual dues. We hold business meetings 4 times a year and provide educational, spiritual, and social programs intermittently throughout the year. Meeting dates and times are listed on all parish communiques weeks prior to the meetings/events.

We are involved with the social concerns of people in the parish and the broader community. We offer programs to inform women on various issues, work in collaboration with other ministries to benefit the overall Resurrection community and get together for friendship building and fun.

All Resurrection women parishioners ages 18 to 100+ are members of this group. Coming to the quarterly meetings and event offerings facilitates getting to know the other fun-loving, dedicated Catholic women of the parish. Come and cash in on your membership! Please contact Mary Majewski at marymajewski154@yahoo.com with any questions.

Senior Mass

A quarterly Mass followed by breakfast and fellowship for all seniors of Resurrection parish. This event is hosted by the Social Concerns Committee, and breakfast is prepared and provided by the Knights of Columbus. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Cindy in the Parish office (630) 289-5400 ext. 200.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration/St. Joseph’s Table

We honor the Solemnity of St. Patrick and St. Joseph with a shared meal celebration. Historically, this annual tradition occurs on the second or third Sunday of March. Following Sunday morning Mass, we process from church to Marvin Hall with a special blessing before breakfast and brunch begin. Our parishioners are invited to help decorate, serve, bring their favorite dishes to share with our community of friends, clean up, and bring it to a close until the following year. This is a community celebration, and all are welcome to attend.
