Saturday, November 23: 8:30 -11:30am in Marvin Hall
Has this ever happened to you? It’s Christmas Eve or Day. You are in church waiting for Mass to begin, when you realize your heart is not prepared to celebrate this miracle of Jesus. You promised yourself you would put Jesus first this Advent. Where did the time go? It’s not like you sat around all December. You decorated your home, inside and out! You purchased and wrapped all the gifts! Your tree is decorated to the max! The cookies, cakes, cakes and appetizers are prepared and, yes, you are totally exhausted. In all honesty, you just want some down time.
Let’s avoid the exhaustion and together plan a better Advent this year.
Our presenter is a new parishioner, Maureen Brennan – wife, mother and grandmother – who recently retired after 34 years of ministry as Director of Religious Education. She claims to have kissed the Blarney Stone, however one might think she bit of a wee piece and swallowed it.
The morning includes a hot breakfast featuring scrambled eggs, quiche, French toast, bacon, sausage, brunch potatoes and fruit salad catered by Brunch Café.
The morning is free to attend but you must register no later than noon on Monday, November 18.
